How to fill NTSE 2019 Application Form?



NCERT has released the notification for the National Talent Search Examination 2018-2019. NTSE is a scholarship test which is conducted at two stages namely Stage 1 and Stage 2. Stage 1 is conducted at the state level by respective states/union territories. Candidates shortlisted in Stage 1 from different states then qualify for the second stage of the scholarship examination. Stage 2 is conducted by NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) at the national level. Let us now see, how to fill NTSE 2019 Application Form?

NTSE 2019 Stage 1 Application Form
National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Stage 1 is conducted by states/UTs. Hence, you need to obtain NTSE 2018-19 Application form from your state/UT Liaison officer. Each state has its own Liaison officer and you can get detailed information regarding it by visiting NCERT website.


The examination fee for the NTSE or NTSS Stage 1 is determined by states/UTs. Complete your application form and get it signed by your school Principal. Address to which your application form must be sent before last date of submission can be confirmed from state LO. Application form for NTSE Stage 1 should not be sent to NCERT.

Different states have different last date for the submission of NTSE 2018-19 application form. Hence, confirm the last date from your state Liaison officer (LO). In case of any doubt regarding the application form, contact your state LO. The address and contact number of state Los can be obtained from the official website of NCERT.

NTSE 2019 Stage 2 Application Form for Indian Students Studying Abroad
For Stage 2 NTSE, NCERT does not charge any examination fee. Those Indian students, who are studying in class 10 in foreign countries, can appear directly in Stage 2 (National Level) exam. They can obtain application form from the official website of NCERT and send it the completed form along with marks sheet of previous examination (photocopy) to NCERT, before 31 December 2018. The application form of NTSE Stage 2 for students studying abroad will be made available from October.
