MBBS and BDS Seats in Jharkhand under State Quota

[हिंदी में पढ़ें] Currently there are three government Medical Colleges in Jharkhand which includes RIMS of Ranchi, MGM of Jamshedpur and PMCH of Dhanbad. RIMS has 150 MBBS seats while 100 MBBS seats are available in MGM and 50 in PMCH. Hence the three Medical Colleges of the state have only 300 MBBS seats. About 15% of these seats are filled through NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) conducted by CBSE every year. As a result, the total MBBS seats for different categories (General or Unreserved, SC, ST and OBC) under state quota decreases further by 15 percent.

Expected cut-off marks of NEET 2017

Ending the wait of millions of medical aspirants, CBSE announced the result of NEET 2017 on 23rd June. Topper Navdeep Singh has secured 697 marks while the second and third topper are not far behind and both of them have secured 695 marks. General category candidates need to secure 131 marks to qualify in NEET this year. Qualifying marks for OBC, SC and ST category candidates are 107. Expected cut-off marks of NEET 2017 for counselling for 15 percent All India Quota Seats could touch 500 for the first time, though CBSE has not announced it officially yet.
