Pattern of AIPMT 2014



CBSE will conduct All India Pre Medical Test this year replacing National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for taking admission into various Medical Colleges of India for MBBS or BDS Courses. The Supreme Court of India had dismissed NEET last year calling it as illegal. Though government of India has filed a review petition in the court but decision is still pending on NEET. Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct AIPMT 2014 on 4th May this year. Students can fill application form on the official website of AIPMT i.e. www.aipmt.nic.in.




Pattern of AIPMT 2014 is same as that of NEET which was conducted last year. But AIPMT 2014 rank cannot be used to take admission into any Medical Colleges of India like that of NEET. Based on AIPMT 2014 rank only 15 percent of Medical seats in the various Medical Colleges of India will be filled. According to the verdict of the top court of India, now different states and private Medical Colleges of the country are free to conduct their own Medical Entrance Examination. 


Central Board of Secondary Education has requested other Indian states and Private Medical Colleges to become the member of AIPMT 2014. But not many of them have agreed on it yet. BHU and AFMC have become the member of AIPMT 2014 and admission in these institutions will be done based on AIPMT rank. You can easily find the names of AIPMT 2014 member states on the official website of AIPMT. 


AIPMT 2014 question paper will consist of 180 questions. 45 questions will be asked from Zoology, Botany, Physics and Chemistry each. 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer while 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Result of AIPMT 2014 will be announced in the first week of June. AIPMT rank can be used to take admission into the Medical Colleges of AIPMT 2014 member states. 


Student who were preparing for NEET should take much stress about AIPMT 2014. It is similar to that of NEET. As CBSE is conducting AIPMT 2014 so you should not expect much change in the pattern of question paper. For clearing any doubts you can comment below this article.

      Kinematics, SHM, Oscillation and Waves, Gravitation, Work, Energy and Power, etc. are important chapters. I am not so sure about dpmt but it should be on the cards this year.

UPSC Prelims 2024 postponed due to Lok Sabha Election

BCECE for Engineering Colleges of Bihar Scrapped
