When JCECEB will conduct its exams in 2020?

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has released application form of almost all entrance exams that were scheduled to be conducted by it in 2020. But, due to Coronavirus pandemic, JCECEB has not been able to conduct single entrance exam this year. We will try to answer a prominent question of students- When JCECEB will conduct its Exams in 2020 amid COVID-19 threat.  

 

JCECEB has already completed the application process of various exams like JCECE 2020 for admission in Agriculture, Veterinary and related courses, JCECEB Engineering Lateral Entry (LE) 2020, JCECEB Diploma Lateral Entry 2020, JCECEB Polytechnic 2020, JCECEB Nursing 2020, JCECEB Paramedical 2020 etc. Several of these exams were scheduled to be conducted on August or September 2020. But Coronavirus outbreak has not allowed JCECEB to proceed ahead as per its schedule. 

 

After receiving nod from Supreme Court and Government of India, National Testing Agency (NTA) has already started conducting JEE Main 2020 and it will conduct NEET 2020 on 13th September. CBSE has also been preparing to conduct compartment examination in September itself. As several other examination conducting bodies are going ahead and conducting their respective examinations; similar steps can be expected from JCECEB too. 

 

                                



 

Ultimately it will depend of the decision of state government. If exams like JEE Main and NEET could be conducted then there is no reason why JCECEB cannot conduct state level entrance exams in Jharkhand. First of all, board needs to release exam dates of various exams, so that students get ample time to prepare for their exams and arrange for transportation and accommodation. JCECEB is likely to release admit card of various exams four to five days before exam.  

 

Though JCECEB has not made any official announcement regarding exam dates and admit card of its various exams. Looking at NTA and other exam conducting bodies, JCECEB could also conduct its exams from the third week of September as by that time JEE Main and NEET would be over.   Election commission of India has declared the dates for Lok Sabha election 2024. The general election will be conducted in seven phases throughout the country. Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination ( BCECE ) 2019 has been scrapped. BCECEB has announced on its official website that it will not conduct BCECE 2019 from this year onwards.
