Pass Marks in Class 12 Bihar Board Exams

Bihar Board Exams, either of Class 10 or Class 12, have undergone massive changes in terms of question paper pattern over the last couple of years. In 2017, 50 percent objective questions were introduced in the theory paper of each subject. In 2018, Bihar Board increased the number of short answer and long answer questions to help students in passing board exams easily.

Is it required to pass in Theory and Objective separately?

BSEB asks 50 percent MCQs in theory and 50 percent short and long answer type questions. Students are not required to obtain passing marks in Objective and Subjective (Theory) separately. Marks obtained in both sections are combined. If a student obtains 20 in objective section and just 1 mark in subjective section of Physics, even then he would be declared passed.
