How to Prepare GK for AIIMS?

Securing a berth in the prestigious Medical College of India i.e. All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) is the dream of every student who wants to become doctor. AIIMS conducts an entrance examination every year for admission into UG MBBS Course. In 2015, for the first time Computer Based or Online Examination was conducted by AIIMS. In this examination, 60 questions are asked from Biology, Physics and Chemistry each while 20 questions are of General Knowledge (GK). Poor performance in GK Section can ruin your dreams of entering AIIMS. How to Prepare GK for AIIMS? Let us see.

AIIMS does not provide any specific syllabus for the GK section. 20 questions are asked in this section, each carrying 1 mark. These questions can be asked from any field i.e. Science & Technology, History, Sports, Politics, etc. Hence, remain in touch with Newspapers to keep yourself updated. 5-6 questions from Current Affairs are frequently asked. Learning Abbreviations and some important days is also recommended. 2-3 questions are asked from history or on current Indian politics. Therefore, try to gain knowledge in this field too.

AIIMS does not allow students to write down or carry Question Paper with them after examination. Based on the memory of students who appeared in AIIMS 2015 in first shift and after matching several list of questions received from students, we have prepared final list of 17 questions out of 20 asked in the examination in first phase. Going through these questions might help you in understanding how questions are asked in the GK section of AIIMS.
