How to fill Application Form of AIIMS 2016-MBBS?



All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released the online application form for the MBBS course on its official website. Candidates can apply for AIIMS 2016 for MBBS course, only through online mode. Online Registration has begun from 15th February and will continue till 15th March 2016. AIIMS has come up with some changes in the Application procedure this time. Hence, read the prospectus carefully before applying. Let us see, how to fill Application Form of AIIMS 2016-MBBS?

In order to apply for AIIMS 2016 for MBBS course, candidates need to complete six steps. These steps have been mentioned below. It is recommended to go through the online prospectus for once to check your eligibility before applying for the exam.

     1)    Registration: It is the first step. In this you need to enter your personal details like Name, Parents name, Date of Birth, Category, State of domicile, ID Proof, Email Address, Mobile number, etc. Once you complete this step, check Email to get your User ID and password. Use these for logging into AIIMS website.


      2)    Payment: Second step is to pay exam fee through Net banking, Debit card or Credit card. You can only submit exam fee through online mode.

      3)    City Choice: After submission of exam fee, you will be asked to choose desired city as your exam centre. After selection, you will be allotted exam centre in a particular city, instantly. Select desired city carefully. Once selected, it cannot be changed.

      4)    Qualification & Address Details: In the fourth step, you need to enter your educational details and permanent as well as correspondence address. 

     5)    Upload Images: In this step you need to upload scanned images of your recent colour photographs, signature and left thump impression. Upload these images carefully, once uploaded they cannot be changed until rejected by AIIMS.

     6)    Print Registration Form: Print the registration form and keep it for future reference. This step is very crucial for the final submission of your application form. 

After completing all the above steps, you will see six green buttons in your dashboard. A message “Your application is under review. Review process may take 7 to 10 days” will be displayed. It means your application will be reviewed and your uploaded photograph and eligibility will be checked by the AIIMS. Once approved, you will receive acknowledgement for the same in your Email box.


  • Photograph Requirements: Your colour photograph must be taken on or after 15-09-2015. It should have a white background. It’s size should be between 50 to 100kb. 

  • Size of scanned images of signature and left thumb impression should be between 10 to 50kb. 

  • Last date for the online registration is 15th March 2016. Candidates are advised to pay exam fee quickly so that they can select their examination centre in desired city.
