Biology of class 11 is very important for students aspiring to become doctor. In fact approx 50 percent of Biology questions asked in different Medical exams of India are from class 11.   It is very important for Medical exams like AIPMT , AIIMS and other state Medical entrance exam. Many students opt for Biology thinking it is an easy and interesting subject. But after seeing the vast syllabus of class 11, they tend to realize that it requires some hard work to get good marks in this subject. 

Recently Indian government accepted the proposal of health ministry to increase 10,000 MBBS seats in the different government Medical Colleges of India. This news has brought happiness on the faces of millions of students who are aspiring to become doctor. Nowadays it has become really difficult to get Medical education in the country. Private Medical Colleges are charging heavy amount of fees. On the other hand government has failed to open required number of government Medical Colleges in the country.

CBSE will conduct All India Pre Medical Tes t this year replacing National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for taking admission into various Medical Colleges of India for MBBS or BDS Courses. The Supreme Court of India had dismissed NEET last year calling it as illegal. Though government of India has filed a review petition in the court but decision is still pending on NEET. Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct AIPMT 2014 on 4th May this year. Students can fill application form on the official website of AIPMT i.e. www.aipmt.nic.in .

For taking admission into different IIM and Management colleges of India, Common Admission Test (CAT) will be conducted from 16 October to 11 November 2013 . In this examination approximately 2 lakh students will appear for 3,335 seats in different IIM. More than 100 Management Institutes of the country will admit students based on the CAT scorecard. Number of seats in IIM has been increased this year. But as compared to previous year, 14,000 less candidates have applied for CAT 2013. 

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct Medical entrance exam in 2014. In a latest press release CBSE has cleared it that the board will conduct undergraduate MBBS or BDS entrance examination in 2014. CBSE will conduct Medical entrance exam on 4 th May 2014 for taking admission into various undergraduate MBBS or BDS Medical colleges of India under 15% All India Quota seats . 

Indian government will very soon file a review petition against the Supreme Court verdict on NEET. The top court of India scrapped NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) last month on 18 July 2013 telling that Medical Council of India (MCI) has no right to implement common Medical Entrance Exam in the country. The court had also added that MCI notification for NEET violates Articles 19, 25, 26, 29 and 30 of the Indian constitution. According to the top court of India, NEET violates the rights of States and Private Medical Colleges of India.  

KVPY is one of the most popular exams of India which is conducted by Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru every year. Students studying Science in Class 11, 12 and in the first year of graduation can apply for this exam.
