Fee Structure of Private Medical Colleges in Bihar | UGMAC Counselling 2024



In recent years, several private medical colleges have mushroomed in Bihar. If based on NEET score you don’t get admission in any government medical colleges of the state, these colleges are available as an alternative. Surely, studying in these private medical colleges is not affordable to all and you choose it only when you fail to secure seat in a government medical institution. How to take Admission in Private Medical Colleges of Bihar? 

 

Admission in all government and Private Medical Colleges of Bihar is done based on NEET Merit List. After declaration of NEET 2024 result, candidates need to apply for UGMAC 2024 Counselling on BCECEB website for participating in Bihar Medical Counselling. Though NTA conducts NEET, counselling for admission into medical colleges of Bihar is conducted by BCECEB.

Fee Structure of Private Medical Colleges in Bihar 

 

Currently, there are 8 Private Medical Colleges in Bihar. In 2021, RDJMMCH Muzaffarpur was permitted for 150 seats. Admission was also completed. But, later NMC withdrew LOP (Letter of Permission) of this college.

 

Admission in RDJMMCH would be subject to the result of the writ petition - CWJC 10903 of 2023

 

Eight Private Medical Colleges of Bihar are- Narayan Medical College & Hospital (Sasaram), Katihar Medical College (Katihar), Mata Gujri Memorial Medical College (Kishanganj), Lord Buddha Koshi Medical College & Hospital (Saharsa), Madhubani Medical College (Madhubani), Netaji Subhas Medical College & Hospital (Patna), RDJM Medical College & Hospital (Muzaffarpur) and Shree Narayan Medical Institute & Hospital (Saharsa).   

 

There are two crucial factors that determine whether you can study MBBS from a private medical college or not. The first factor is your performance in NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). The second but most important factor is the fee structure of a private medical college in which you are interested. Undoubtedly, studying MBBS from a government medical college put much less financial burden on your shoulder. But there are limited medical seats in government colleges. Hence, students are forced to opt for private medical colleges. Narayan Medical College & Hospital, Sasaram, Fee Structure 2023-24 

 

Tuition Fee: ₹10.38 Lakh per year 

Hostel & Mess: ₹3 Lakh per year 

Amenities: ₹1.50 Lakh per year (Lab Charges, Internet, Gym, Cultural Activity, Sports, Internet & Monthly Exam) 

Admission Charge: ₹50,000 (One Time) 

Security Money: ₹2,00,000 (One Time, Refundable) 

 

 

Katihar Medical College Fee Structure 2023-24 

 

Tuition Fee: ₹9,35,000 per year for General & Muslim Candidates and $25,000 for NRI Foreign Category 

Development Fee: ₹1,20,000 per year for General & Muslim category and NIL for NRI 

Hostel Fee: ₹2,50,000 per year 

Student Services & Amenities Fee: ₹50,000 per year (Transport, Sports, Gym, Wi-Fi, etc.) 

Security Deposit:  ₹1,00,000 (One Time, Refundable)

Admission Fee:  ₹50,000 (One Time) 

Tuition Fee: ₹9,63,000 per annum and $25,000 for NRI students

Mess Charge: ₹1,00,000 per annum (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) 

Student Amenities Fee: ₹2,00,000 per annum (Transport, Sports, Gym, etc.)

Lord Buddha Koshi Medical College & Hospital, Saharsa, Fee Structure 2023-24 

 

Tuition Fee: ₹12,00,000 per annum and $30,000 for NRI Students

Madhubani Medical College Fee Structure 2023-24 

 

Tuition Fee: ₹13,50,000 per annum and $21,000 for NRI students

Development Fee: ₹50,000 per annum  

Hostel Fee: ₹3,00,000 per annum 

Transportation Fee: ₹50,000 per annum

Security Deposit: ₹1,00,000 (One Time, Refundable)

Netaji Subhas Medical College, Amhara, Fee Structure 2023-24 

  

Tuition Fee: ₹15,50,000 per annum and $35,000 for NRIs   

Hostel Fee:  ₹2,00,000 per annum 

Mess Charge: ₹1,20,000 per annum 

Transport Fee: ₹50,000 per annum 

Security Deposit: ₹2,00,000 per annum
